Limited Company Accounts

Ltd Company Accounts & Tax

If you run a limited company, you’re required by law to prepare annual accounts based on what sales and expenses you’ve had.

These accounts go hand in hand with the corporation tax return – which tells you have much tax there is to pay, so it’s really important to get these right!

If your annual sales are more than £85,000 you’ll no doubt be wondering about VAT registration, and how often you need to report to the HMRC.

These returns could be quarterly, monthly or even annually, but in some cases it may be beneficial to register for VAT early.

If you’re thinking about taking on employees or perhaps paying yourself, you’ll need to register as an employer to stay compliant with the HMRC.

To keep the HMRC happy, these payments need to be reported using ‘Real time information’ on or before the pay date.

Self Assessment

Self Assessment Tax Returns

The personal tax year runs from 6th April – 5th April each year, with a tax return expected by the HMRC no later than the 31st January following the end of the tax year end.

If you are self-employed, a partner in a partnership or a company director you must submit a tax return.

Part of running a business means you’re in charge of keeping all your records in order, and these need to be done accurately, as rubbish records going in means wrong figures out.

If this simply isn’t your strong point, we can take care of all your record keeping.

Company Secretarial

Company Secretarial

If you have a limited company, it’s a legal requirement that you keep records up to date of publicly known information.

This includes registered office address, details of directors and shareholders,  and other information with Companies House on an annual basis.

The UK tax system is one of the most complex in the world.

We can help you understand what is happening in your business by providing regular updates so you know where your business stands.
